Our TriBella and BiBella treatments are the ultimate all-in-one skin sessions, designed to address multiple concerns at once rather than treating them separately. By combining different clinical technologies into a single appointment, we can target pigment, wrinkles, and skin texture simultaneously, providing a total complexion reset with fewer visits to the clinic.

The BiBella is a powerful dual-modality treatment that typically pairs Photorejuvenation (to fade sun damage and redness) with RF Skin Tightening (to firm and lift the skin). For those looking for the most complete transformation, the TriBella adds a third layer: NanoFractional™ Skin Resurfacing. This triple-threat approach works deep within the skin to erase visible veins, smooth out stubborn lines, and rebuild the skin’s surface for a clear, firm, and radiant finish.

While these treatments are excellent for corrective work, they are the perfect maintenance strategy for anyone who has already completed an initial series of targeted treatments. Think of a TriBella or BiBella session as a high-performance “refresh” to protect your investment and sustain your results. We recommend scheduling one of these maintenance sessions every 3 to 6 months to keep your skin clear of new sun damage, maintain firmness, and ensure your texture remains smooth and resilient against aging.

Treatment Time: Because we are performing multiple procedures in one session, please allow approximately 1.5 to 2 hours for your appointment, which includes time for numbing  (prior to resurfacing) and the precise application of each modality.

Sensation: You may feel varying sensations, from the snapping of the IPL to the deep warmth of the RF and the light prickling of the NanoFractional tip. A compounded topical numbing cream will be applied prior to the resurfacing portion of the treatment, to maximize your comfort.

Number of Treatments: For corrective results, a series of 3 treatments spaced 4–5 weeks apart is typically recommended. Once your goals are met, these become the perfect maintenance strategy, with one session every 3 to 6 months to protect your investment and sustain your results.

Downtime: Since these treatments include a resurfacing component, you should expect 24–72 hours + of social downtime. Your skin will feel like a moderate sunburn with noticeable redness and some swelling. Over the following 3–5 days, you will see the “coffee ground” effect from the IPL and tiny micro-crusts from the Viva tip, both of which will naturally flake away to reveal fresh, glowing skin.

Pre-Treatment

To ensure your skin is prepared for multiple clinical modalities and to minimize sensitivity, please begin these steps 5–7 days before your TriBella or BiBella session:

  • Pause Actives and Exfoliants: Stop using Retinols, Glycolic Acid (AHA), Salicylic Acid (BHA), Vitamin C serums, and all physical or chemical exfoliants. This allows your skin’s natural barrier to be at its strongest for the treatment.

  • Manage Hair Removal: Shave the treatment area 12–24 hours prior to your appointment. Avoid waxing, electrolysis, or hair removal creams for at least 2 weeks prior, as the hair follicle must be present for the IPL portion to be effective.

  • Sun Awareness: Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, or self-tanning products. We cannot treat skin that is sunburned, tanned, or irritated.

  • Cold Sore Prevention: If you are prone to cold sores, please notify us in advance. We recommend taking an antiviral medication prior to treatment to prevent a breakout, which can be prescribed by our medical director in advance.

Post-Treatment

Because TriBella and BiBella combine several technologies, following these steps is vital for a smooth recovery and clear results:

  • The First 24 Hours: Do not apply anything to the treated area—including water, moisturizers, or makeup—for the first 24 hours. This is essential to allow the micro-channels from the resurfacing to heal properly.

  • Gentle Cleansing & Hydration: After the initial 24-hour window, you may resume using a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser and a high-quality moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated.

  • Continue Pausing Actives: Avoid all “actives” (Retinols, AHAs, BHAs, Vitamin C) and exfoliants for at least 5 days post-treatment to prevent severe irritation.

  • SPF Protection: Your skin will be highly photosensitive. Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily to all treated areas to prevent new hyperpigmentation.

  • Avoid Heat: For the first 24–48 hours, refrain from extremely hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and vigorous exercise to avoid unnecessary flushing or swelling.

  • Protect the Surface: As targeted pigment darkens (the “coffee ground” effect) and micro-crusts form, do not pick, scrub, or scratch the area. Allow these to naturally flake off over 5–7 days to ensure even healing.

You cannot undergo a TriBella or BiBella treatment if any of the following apply:

  • Active Electrical Implants: Use of a pacemaker, internal defibrillator, or any other active electrical implant in the body.
  • Permanent Implants in the Area: This includes metal plates, screws, or silicone implants in the specific area being treated.
  • Pregnancy & Nursing: Clinical treatments are not performed while pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Current or History of Cancer: Especially skin cancer or pre-malignant moles in the treatment area.
  • Photosensitive Conditions: Disorders stimulated by light or heat, such as Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), Porphyria, or Epilepsy.
  • Tattoos or Permanent Makeup: We cannot treat directly over tattoos or permanent makeup in the targeted area.

The following may require postponing your session or avoiding specific localized areas:

  • Active Skin Infections: Any active cold sores (Herpes Simplex), Psoriasis, eczema, or rashes in the treatment area.
  • Recent Sun Exposure: Excessively tanned skin from the sun, tanning beds, or self-tanning products within the last 2–4 weeks.
  • Recent Injectables: You must wait at least 2–4 weeks after receiving Botox or dermal fillers before treating that same area with Venus Versa™ modalities.
  • Recent Surgery or Resurfacing: Any surgical procedure, laser resurfacing, or deep chemical peels in the treatment area within the last 3–6 months.

Medication & Health Restrictions

  • Isotretinoin (Accutane): Must be discontinued for at least 6 months prior to treatment.
  • Photosensitizing Medications: Certain antibiotics (like Tetracyclines) or herbal supplements like St. John’s Wort must be discontinued for at least 2 weeks.
  • Healing Disorders: A history of keloid scarring or abnormal wound healing may make you ineligible for the resurfacing portion of these treatments.
  • Uncontrolled Disorders: Poorly controlled endocrine disorders, such as Diabetes or thyroid conditions, can negatively affect your skin’s healing response.

**Please note – due to the cost of the single-use tip, there is an $80 patch test fee for these treatments.  Patch test must be completed prior to proceeding with treatment to ensure suitability and parameter settings.
