Botox & Dermal Filler Cosmetic Treatments
Targeting fine lines and wrinkles with Botox® Cosmetic treatments is one of the most effective ways to restore a youthful appearance. Specifically, Botox excels at reducing the deep expression lines that naturally appear as we age.
Treatment Areas for Botox
We frequently use it to smooth away:
Forehead lines
Frown lines between the eyebrows (glabella)
Crow’s feet around the eyes
These treatments are also highly effective for the lower face and neck. For instance, we can target the lower face to reduce a gummy smile, decrease bunny nose lines, or lift downturned corners of the mouth. Additionally, treating prominent platysma neck bands can significantly improve the appearance of sagging jowls.
Our Preferred Neuromodulators
Upon request, Dr. Krushel can provide Dysport® and Xeomin® neuromodulator, though he encourages the use of the premium Botox® Cosmetic brand. He prefers Botox® because of its highly reliable, world-renowned results. Our clients love participating in the generous Brilliant Distinctions rewards program to earn savings on their favourite treatments.
Commonly Asked Questions
Here are some commonly asked questions, to help prepare you for your treatment:
- Does it hurt? Botox is administered by injecting facial muscles using very small needles. Some northerners say the needle poke feels like a little mosquito bite, but without the itching and swelling
- I am interested, but I don’t want to look “frozen” Dr. Krushel reduces wrinkles and fine lines while leaving natural expressions intact, resulting in a smoother and more youthful appearance. Botox does not increase the volume of the face and does not cause plumping or filling effects.
- How long does Botox last? Typically, 3 to 4 months. However, this depends very much on one’s metabolism and the strength and activity of one’s muscles.
- What is the cost? Dr. Krushel prides himself on placing every unit of Botox in the most effective locations, to ensure that clients get the desired effect in the most cost-effective way. Sessions typically range from 15 – 60 units, dependent on number of areas you are looking to have treated.
There is a minimum $100 appointment charge and a strict 48 cancellation policy in place, as Dr.Krushel arrives from out of town for his clinics. You will begin to feel and see some changes in approximately 2-4 days, following a treatment, with the full effect occurring in two weeks. We strive to create results that make the treatment area appear smoother, with reduced facial lines and wrinkles, while continuing to appear natural.
- For 1 Hour: Exercise the treatment muscles by frowning, raising your eyebrows, and smiling.
- For 3 Hours: Ideally, remain upright and do not rub or compress the treated areas. We recommend avoiding strenuous physical activity, hot tubs, saunas, facials, alcohol, and aspirin/anti-inflammatories for least several hours.

He prides himself on thoroughly listening to the client’s goals and using a mirror to educate and explain to patients how best to meet these goals in the most cost-effective way during a friendly no-pressure consultation.
Dermal Fillers: Restore Volume and Lift
In addition to neuromodulators, Dr. Krushel administers premium Hyaluronic Acid (HA) dermal fillers. Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring molecule in your body renowned for its incredible ability to absorb water. Consequently, these fillers provide vital hydration and immediate volume to the skin.
Understanding the Aging Process
As we age, the youthful lift provided by our cheekbones and natural facial fat pads can diminish. Unfortunately, these fat pads tend to slide downward over time. This process leads to a drooping or sagging appearance in the cheeks and jowls.
This structural shift contributes to deep lines and creases in the lower face, including:
-
Deep nasolabial folds (smile lines)
-
Marionette lines around the mouth
-
Sagging jawlines and chin areas
How Dermal Fillers Can Help
Fortunately, small amounts of targeted dermal fillers can enhance your appearance by providing an instant lift while restoring lost volume. Specifically, we use these versatile treatments to rejuvenate several key areas:
-
Cheeks and Temples: Restores structural support to provide a more youthful, rested appearance.
-
Lips: Provides a beautifully natural-looking lip enhancement that can last for up to a year.
-
Tear Troughs & Lower Face: Softens sunken under-eye hollows, nasolabial folds, and marionette lines.
-
Superficial Fine Lines: Softer fillers can treat delicate perioral lines, smile lines, and smoker’s lines closer to the skin’s surface.
Injectable Hydration for Radiant Skin
Finally, we offer specialized treatments like Juvéderm® SKINVIVE™ and Restylane® Skinboosters™. Unlike traditional structural fillers, these unique formulas are micro-injected just below the surface of the skin. As a result, they do not alter your facial shape. Instead, they deeply hydrate the tissue from within to improve skin smoothness and provide a glowing, refreshed appearance.
Here are some commonly asked questions, to help prepare you for your consultation or treatment:
How long do dermal fillers last?
Much of the volume effect of dermal fillers is immediately apparent after injection. Your body will naturally absorb dermal fillers over time. Depending upon the type and amount of filler used in a location; an excellent treatment effect usually lasts from 6 to 24 months.
- Are dermal fillers expensive?
The cost of dermal fillers depends upon several factors including the area or areas administered, and the amount required. Usually, one treatment is all that is required. Dr. Krushel will not recommend any filler in excess to what you require to meet your goals and/or that will look excessive or unnatural. He will always be open and honest as to what dermal fillers can and cannot achieve.
- Do Dermal Fillers hurt?
Dermal Fillers are administered using small needles or cannula through the skin and into the desired treatment area. Dr Krushel takes a number of measures to ensure that the procedure is as pleasant as possible, including applying anesthetic to the skin prior to the procedure. Most dermal fillers also contain a local anesthetic, such that the
procedure is usually described as only mildly painful or uncomfortable.
